Expanding the ISN Network: New Affiliated Societies

The ISN welcomes two new Affiliated Societies, the Société Québécoise de Néphrologie (SQN) and the Finnish Society of Nephrology.

The ISN has worked alongside ISN members in Canada and Finland on several initiatives, notably through the Sister Renal Centers Program (SRC).

The Montreal Children’s Hospital of the McGill University Health Centre has acted as the Supporting or Mentoring Center in three SRC partnerships. It is currently active in an SRC collaboration with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Bhopal, India. The SQN were joint hosts of Virtual WCN’21.

The Department of Pediatric Nephrology and Transplantation at the University of Helsinki in Finland was the supporting center in an SRC pair alongside the National Medical Scientific Center for Children’s Health in Russia. The pair graduated in 2020 and has now extended the partnership to support a center in Uzbekistan within an SRC trio.

The ISN looks forward to close collaboration with these organizations to continue advancing equitable access to sustainable kidney health worldwide.

Together with these recent additions, the ISN is proud to work alongside an international community of 109 Affiliated Societies dedicated to advancing global nephrology.

ISN Affiliated Societies benefit from increased visibility through ISN endorsement and greater networking opportunities at ISN events.
