ISN at the Indonesian Society of Nephrology’s 14th National Congress and Annual Scientific Meeting

The 14th National Congress & Annual Scientific Meeting of The Indonesian Society of Nephrology (PERNEFRI) took place 4-7 November in Bali, Indonesia. Over 1,500 attendees were present to hear a program comprising 69 speakers, 20 symposia, and six workshops to improve skills in hypertension, nutrition, dialysis, interventional nephrology, and transplantation.

PERNEFRI is an ISN Collective-Member Society. PERNEFRI President Aida Sutranto outlined ISN initiatives, highlighting the strong relationship between ISN and PERNEFRI and ISN’s ongoing support to improve kidney care capacity in Indonesia, at the ISN-PERNEFRI joint session.

The theme of the meeting was “Current Knowledge in Nephrology: Recent Updates in the Era of New Normal,” discussing scientific developments in kidney care and its adaptation to pandemic conditions.

Past ISN President Vivek Jha presented “Prevention of Chronic Kidney Disease in Low – Middle Income Country,” and Gang Xu, a speaker from Wuhan, China, recommended by the ISN, gave the talk “Pathogenesis and Management of AKI in COVID 19 Patients.”
