Have You Taken the #ShowYourKidneys Social Media Challenge Yet?
The response to the #ShowYourKidneys online challenge has been outstanding, with almost 500 mentions made on Twitter between February 8 and March 28, reaching over 12 million people online!
The challenge, launched as part of the World Kidney Day (WKD) 2022 campaign, is a simple, fun way to highlight where the kidneys are in the body and what they do. You can still take part:
- Take a picture of yourself – front or back view – using your fists to indicate the location of your kidneys
- Add a kidney-themed frame to your photo: Download here.
- Share the photo on social media using the hashtag #ShowYourKidneys
Your participation helps raise awareness of the importance of kidney health!
Watch the ‘World Kidney Day 2022 Best Film’
On World Kidney Day (WKD) 2022 this past March 10, online voting opened for a special category within the 2022 ISN Community Film Event, the ‘WKD 2022 Best Film,’ an award going to the film that receives the most votes on WKD itself.
The winner of the ‘WKD 2022 Best Film’ award is:
“Ilan Lavi Donates a Kidney – and Gets a Happiness Transplant” by Dr. Walter Wasser, Leumit Health Care, Jerusalem, Israel.
