Shaping Future Leaders: How is the Second Emerging Leaders Cohort Advancing?

Last month, the 12 members of the second ISN Emerging Leaders cohort began activities on collaborative leadership and problem-solving in global kidney health as part of their two-year participation in the ISN Emerging Leaders Program (ELP).

Find out more about the ISN ELP here.

Once such activity was a virtual workshop, “Insights Discovery – A Roadmap for Personal and Professional Effectiveness,” on May 27, 2022. The program showed the ELP cohort different ways to tackle challenges and opportunities according to personality type in order to achieve peak performance in communication, management styles, decision making, and understanding the environment.

ISN ELP members also held their first virtual meeting to establish a collaborative project as the focus of their activities throughout their two-year program. Each ELP member will generate small creative outputs to complement this collaborative project. The first such creative output, an interactive online quiz by Dr. Divya Bajpai and other members of the ISN Education Working Group, was produced as part of activities focusing on the impact of kidney care on the environment to mark World Environment Day on June 5.

ELP members will join the online course “Introduction to Implementation Research: Designing and Evaluating Interventions” by Harvard Catalyst later in the year. Opportunities for cohort members to exchange with leaders in global kidney care are also scheduled.
