ISN CME Program Supports Two Speakers to Travel to India to Present on Pediatric Nephrology

In December 2022, the ISN supported members Valerie Luyckx (Switzerland) and Hui Kim Yap (Singapore) to present talks at the 34th National Conference of the Indian Society of Pediatric Nephrology in Mumbai, India.

Over 200 people participated in the three-day event with a scientific program based on the theme, “Journey of Nephron From Embryo to Senescence.”

Valerie Luyckx, ISN Western Europe Regional Board member, delivered the talk

“The Effect of Preterm Birth on Nephrogenesis and its Long-term Outcome,” and participated in a panel discussion on “Strategies to Achieve Equitable Kidney Care.”

Hui Kim Yap presented “Updates on the Diagnosis and Management of SLE” and participated in the workshop session, “Case-based Problem-Solving in CAPD.”

According to Uma Ali, one of the conference organizers, the event generated much enthusiasm, with senior consultants and young pediatric nephrologists attending from all over India and neighboring developing countries.
