2023 KI-ISN Early-Career Researcher Award – Apply Now! Extended Deadline: December 22, 2023

Best Basic/Translational and Clinical Science publications in
Kidney International® – KI-ISN Early-Career Researcher Award

Kidney International® and the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) acknowledge the contribution made by our early-career researchers (ECR) across the globe.

We would like to recognize their efforts by selecting the four best original research papers published in Kidney International® (2 basic/translational and 2 clinical science publications) in 2023 (in-print and article-in-press first online in 2023).

The primary authors of these papers must be early career researchers (less than 7 years post MD/PhD, or post Nephrology/Transplant Fellowship).
Applicant for this award must be the first author of an original article, Nephrologist sans Frontières, or Policy Forum.
Applicant will submit a 500-word expression of interest and include a statement outlining their key findings of the research.
While ISN membership is not mandated for the applicants, they are strongly encouraged to be one prior to the closing date.
In addition, all applications must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation by the applicant’s research mentor.

The selection process will reflect the diversity and inclusiveness of the global nephrology communities.

Papers will be judged on the originality and novelty of the research, robustness of the methodologies, quality of the paper, clinical application, and effective research translational capacity by the Kidney International® Editorial team.

Winners of these awards will receive 500 USD each and be announced at the World Congress of Nephrology 2024 (WCN’24) in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
