This year’s World Kidney Day (WKD) campaign focused on increasing education and awareness of kidney health at all levels of kidney care.
WKD continues to grow in impact thanks to dedicated efforts from members of the public and health care professionals worldwide. Discover key global accomplishments, innovative activities, and the social media reach of WKD in the impact report, including:
- 1,300 WKD kidney health awareness-raising activities held in over 90 countries
- Over 526 million people on social media worldwide reached through #worldkidneyday and related messages
- The Champions’ regional reports: Accounts from some of the 136 committed champions from 65 countries who boosted the campaign’s impact through fun activities, generating political momentum and media coverage
