“The Story Is More Important Than the Technical Aspect” – Share Your Story of Unsung Heroes in Kidney Care: Submit a Film to the ISN Community Film Event

In a recent interview, Dr. Jeyakumar Meyyappan (India), winner of the 2022 ISN Community Film, praised the ISN Film Event as a “Patients’ Platform” – a channel for people with kidney diseases to express their feelings.

He encouraged others to identify kidney health issues in their region and share a related story from one of their patients with the international kidney care community.

Mr. Kahn, the patient featured in Dr. Meyyappan’s film, recently shared the news that he had finally received a kidney transplant after a decade-long wait. He thanked the ISN for creating awareness and working for kidney patients.

Dr. Pecoits-Filho (US), winner of the 2021 ISN Community Best Film award was also recently interviewed. He urged others to participate in the event, commenting, “It’s become so easy to film, to produce videos, people do this with their mobile phones – the story is more important than the technical aspect.”
