A visionary step toward transforming kidney care in East Africa, “Capacity Accelerator for Regional Empowerment in NEPHrology – East Africa Project” (CARE-NEPH), was jointly developed by African kidney care societies in response to local needs. The project is supported by the ISN through its grant programs.

Small kidneys, big impact: Advancing pediatric kidney care in Sri Lanka
From expanding dialysis and transplant services to launching Sri Lanka’s first pediatric renal registry, an ISN Sister Renal Centers partnership has “played a key role” in transforming children’s kidney care at Lady Ridgeway Hospital. Its University Unit now stands as a “pioneering institution,” says pediatric nephrologist Randula Ranawaka.
